Generali Global Agent Excellence Contest 3rd Edition

Generali’s Global Agent Excellence Contest will return for a third edition with the grand finale to be held in Venice. The top 300 agents will be invited to celebrate the announcement of the best lifetime partner alongside the Group Chairman, Group CEO and other key members from the global management group.

The Global Agent Excellence Contest was launched in 2016 to celebrate the most innovative agents in terms of digital adoption, data collection and new approaches to market. Now on its 3rd edition, it has evolved to be Generali’s flagship event for its agent network involving 100.000 agents in 25 markets globally, who engaged in local competitions followed by a Champions League format to select the 10 finalists.

Generali Group CEO, Philippe Donnet, stated: “The relationship that our agents have with their clients is one of the real assets of Generali, and the contest strives to reward those individuals who demonstrate true entrepreneurial spirit whatever the market in which they work. As the industry evolves through digitalization and connectivity, insurance remains an emotional matter and clients continue to look for qualified advice and human touch. Agents must deliver value-adding advisory and, at the same time, become more digital than ever.”

After the success of the previous events, the contest has proven to be a great experience to collectively share insights and build relationships with our agents, especially working toward #Generali4excellence. In 2018, Sergio Schena from Generali Italia was elected as the best group agent after continuously maintaining an excellent track record overall in all areas of interest (see the press release). Also the Austria, CEE & Russia Region celebrated a great success during the second edition of the Global Agent Excellence Contest, having three agents in the world´s TOP 10 - Alexander Weiss from Austria, Jan Ondroušek from Czech Republic and Beatrix Bárczy from Hungary.

For 2020, agents will still be assessed on their digital adoption, and now also their customer contact strategy and retention & production growth.

Insurance is and will remain being about human relations although digitalization is transforming also our business and changing our industry very fast. While the road of digital revolution may be long, we are successfully reaching out targets and committed to be the most agent-friendly insurance company in the world.
