Generali supports researches of dr. Luca Vannucci

Generali supports the Laboratory of Immunotherapy of the Institute of Microbiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, in the cancer researches under the leadership of dr. Luca Vannucci. In December Luca Vannuci became President of the Czech Immunological Society.

Generali is proud to support dr. Vannucci´s researches - thanks to the donation the Laboratory could have been equipped by technological instruments so important for work in the field of molecular biology.

Luca Vannucci, Italian surgeon oncologist and immunologist, who has lived in Prague since 1999, head of Laboratory from 2009, is now chairman of the Czech Immunological Society (CIS), one of the largest scientific institutions in the country. Already a member of the Board of CIS, Vannucci was unanimously elected on 6 December last, and succeeds in that office Professor Blanka Rihova. Founded as the Immunological Section of the Czechoslovak Biology Society in 1973, through the auspices of Professor Jan Sterzl, the first chairman, it became the Czechoslovak Immunological Society in 1986 and then the Czech Immunological Society in 1993.
