Croatia: Generali donated 700,000 HRK to Sisak-Moslavina County to repair the consequences of the earthquake

• Funds will be directed to the provision of current necessary help and reconstruction of homes of residents of Sisak-Moslavina County.

Zagreb - Generali donated 700,000 HRK to the Sisak-Moslavina County, which will use the funds to provide the necessary help and rebuild the homes of its residents who suffered a series of devastating earthquakes.

Austria, CEE & Russia Regional Officer and CEO of Generali CEE Holding Luciano Cirinà offered his deepest sympathies: „Another strong earthquake hit Croatia. Sadly, it turned the peaceful period of the year into a serious crisis. These are very difficult times and I express my deepest sympathies to the entire country, especially to the families of the victims of the earthquake and all those injured or affected.“

CEO of Generali osiguranje, Mario Carini, stated: “Deeply shocked by the devastating earthquake and to support the communities most directly affected, Generali is making a donation to the Sisak-Moslavina County, which has a direct insight into the needs of its residents to contribute to quick and efficient help and rebuild their homes. At the same time, working with Promentz, the initiator of the 'Psychological Help' platform, we are committed to supporting their efforts by organizing mobile teams of specialized psychologists for crisis situations, to provide support to all people and communities in need."

County Prefect of Sisak-Moslavina, Ivo Žinić, pointed out: "I thank Generali osiguranje from the bottom of my heart for this quick and generous help amounting to 700 thousand kuna. The donated funds will be used to provide help to the residents of Sisak-Moslavina County, as well as to repair the buildings damaged by this devastating earthquake. We are aware of the difficult circumstances in which all the inhabitants of our county but also the health system, schools, as well as other institutions find themselves, so this wholehearted help is extremely important. Thanks for the contribution which makes easier to procure everything that is needed.”
