    PREMISES & GLOBAL SERVICES

    The human factor remains irreplaceable

Arno Schuchter, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Generali Versicherung AG, explains in his interview why the human factor is important even as digitization advances and why 2021 is a special year for Generali.

Arno Schuchter talks about the advantage that Generali had in focusing strongly on digitization before Corona and was not caught off guard by Covid-19 in this respect and could even use it to accelerate its ongoing modernization. However, although digitization is very important for the development of the insurance business, human touch will still be necessary to be successful in the future. That is to offer simplicity and innovation combined with empathy and care to all stakeholders.

Generali is celebrating its 190th anniversary this year. „We are particularly proud of this, after all, there are not many companies that can boast such a long history." A highlight of the celebrations will be in December 2021 when Procuratie Vecchie in St. Mark's Square in Venice will after 500 years finally be open to the public again and become the global hub of The Human Safety Net... Generali employees are volunteering for this movement in 23 countries, largely in their spare time. In Austria, The Human Safety Net has joined forces with the NGO Big Brothers Big Sisters to develop the Family Mentoring Program, which helps families with children between the ages of three and six to better cope with everyday life. (…)

The Generali Group wants to contribute to a healthy, stable and sustainable society. We are a responsible company and, in addition to our social commitment, we also set initiatives for economy and ecology. That is why we are also placing greater emphasis on sustainability criteria in our investments.
