    Generali CEE Holding is the parent company of a group of leading insurance companies in Central and Eastern Europe.

    Generali CEE Holding provides know-how and a professional and operational base for its insurance companies in 13 countries as of 31. 12. 2021 - Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. The area is being called Austria & CEE Region (ACEE) starting from March 2022, following the Group´s decision to close its Moscow Representative Office, resign from positions held on the board of the Russian insurer Ingosstrakh and wind down Europ Assistance business in Russia.

    Launch of the expansion programme in the region

    Generali takes full control of the 2008 established joint venture between Generali and PPF - company changes name to Generali CEE Holding
    2018
    Austria and Russia become part of the Austria, CEE & Russia Region
    2022
    Generali decided to close its operations in the Russian market. Furthermore, as of 1.9., Austria is no longer part of our Region and our business unit is renamed CEE.
     

    Leader in the region: The Group is an undisputed leader in CEE and Austria in terms of profitability, with a combined ratio among the best in the sector.

    In the P&C business, our Region marked the year with a combined ratio of 84.2%. Life gross written premiums reached € 2 325 million and the P&C segment premium grew 6.1% to € 4 632 million. We are the market leader in the Czech Republic, belonging to the top three players in Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia, further strengthening our positions in all countries where we operate.

    The organizational unit of Generali CEE Holding is based in Prague with 146 employees from 14 nationalities. The companies of Generali CEE Holding offer insurance and financial products ranging from savings and family protection policies to unit-linked policies and complex plans for multinationals. In the P&C segment its portfolio ranges from mass market coverage such as motor, home, accident & health, to sophisticated commercial and industrial risk coverage.

    As of 1 September 2022, Austria is no longer belonging to the area of CEE Region.
