Generali CEE: Changes in the Managements in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Croatia

• Česká pojišťovna, Prague: Roman Juráš to become new CEO, Jiří Doubravský appointed as COO and Pavel Mencl will lead own sales channels as Chief Sales Officer
• Generali Poisťovňa, Bratislava: Georg Engl takes role of new CEO
• Generali osiguranje, Zagreb: Mario Carini designated as new CEO

Prague - Generali CEE Holding announces some changes in the managements of its subsidiaries Česká pojišťovna a.s., Prague, Generali Poisťovňa a.s., Bratislava, and Generali osiguranje d.d., Zagreb, to become effective in the upcoming weeks and months once the necessary approvals have been received.

Česká pojišťovna a.s., Prague:
As of 1st September 2019 Roman Juráš will become new Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Česká pojišťovna as well as Generali Group’s Country Manager of the Czech Republic. He will take this role from Marek Jankovič who will stay with ČP as Board Member until 31st December 2019 and then as Member of the Supervisory Board from 1st January 2020. Roman Juráš will join the Board of Directors of Česká pojišťovna as of 1st July 2019 already. He is currently Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Generali Poisťovňa, a.s., Bratislava. Roman Juráš (Czech and Slovak citizen) joined Generali in 1996 when he became responsible for establishing Generali’s subsidiary in Slovakia.

Also Jiří Doubravský will become member of the Board of Directors of ČP as of 1st July 2019 taking the role of Chief Operations Officer. He works currently as Member of the Board of Directors of Generali Poisťovňa, a.s., Bratislava. He started his career in the insurance industry with Česká pojišťovna in 2007.

Keeping his role as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Generali Pojišťovna a.s., Prague, Pavel Mencl will lead the own sales channels of ČP as Member of the Board of Directors. He will take this role from Tomáš Vysoudil who will leave the company at the end of August to pursue new professional opportunities. Pavel Mencl joined Generali in 1995 as Regional Director for the district of Hradec Kralove.

Generali Poisťovňa, a.s., Bratislava:
As of 1st September 2019 Georg Engl will be appointed as new Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Generali Poisťovňa, a.s., Bratislava, succeeding Roman Juráš. Georg Engl will join the Board of Directors as of 1st August 2019 already. He is currently CEO and Chairman of the Board of Generali osiguranje d.d., Zagreb. He joined Generali in 2000.

Generali osiguranje d.d., Zagreb:
Mario Carini will take Georg Engl’s roles as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Generali osiguranje d.d. in Croatia after obtaining regulatory approval. He joined Generali in 2003 and works currently as Head of Global Corporate & Commercial and Reinsurance of Generali CEE Holding in Prague for the Austria, CEE and Russia Region. Since 2013 he is also a member of the Management Board of GP Reinsurance EAD in Sofia.
