Ileana Damian to become the new Chief Operations Officer in Generali Romania

Ileana Damian has received the Romanian insurance regulator’s approval to take over the position of Chief Operations Officer within Generali Romania. She is replacing Daniela Covacescu who resigned from her position. Ileana Damian is becoming a member of the Board as well. She is a specialist with over 16 years of experience in Generali Romania and, in her new role, she will coordinate IT, back-office, procurement and facility management activities.

Ileana Damian benefits from a rich experience in the area of operations, coordinating the launch of the Back-Office Operations Department of our company in 2011. From this position, her contribution has been substantial in multiple key projects for the company, such as the implementation of new centralized IT systems, database optimization and CRM operations.

Ileana Damian is a graduate of the Faculty of General Economics within the Academy of Economic Studies of Bucharest and joined the Generali team in 2005. Her training continued through technical and management specialization programs within the Generali Group.
