Top performance by Generali Austria at the VAA

Two first and one third place at the Versicherungs Awards Austria underline Generali's high service quality.

With the first place in motor liability and commercial insurance and the third place in motor own damage, Generali Versicherung once again achieved excellent placements in the Versicherungs Awards Austria this year and thus emerges as the overall winner. A total of eight Austrian insurers share twelve places on the podium in four classifications.

In a study conducted by the independent market research institute Wissma, brokers provided insights into the service quality of insurance companies.

Head of Independent Sales Thomas Bayer was particularly pleased with the awards: "I am proud that our broker partners´ trust in Generali is so high. Generali aims to be a life-time partner of its brokers. We focus on efficient solutions through innovative products and services. The fact that our performance has been honored with three top rankings confirms Generali's position as a quality insurer. The awards are valuable feedback from our partners." He accepted the coveted awards from Wissma Managing Director Katja Meier-Pesti.

Pioneering role in commercial and motor insurance

Generali Austria is the market leader in the motor vehicle insurance sector. For Sergius Kahr, Head of Motor&Legal Protection division, this is not a matter of course in a competitive environment. "We are constantly working on the attractiveness of our offering and are keeping a close eye on developments, such as e-motorization," says Kahr of the pleasing situation in the motor sector.

Generali also has a pioneering role in commercial. "We offer our partners and customers the best service with fully automated insurance solutions as well as prevention and assistance services. Losses are thus prevented in advance," explains Christoph Zauner.

    Hard facts about the survey

481 brokers took part in the survey during the given period from April to May 2021. They evaluated only those insurance companies that they had business mediated with in the last twelve months. Ten of these were selected at random and each evaluated in more than 20 aspects. An insurance company was evaluated if it achieved the minimum number of 30 ratings in the respective category.
